THE DUKE AND THE DAUPHIN

Young Huck and runaway slave Jim park their raft on the shore of the Mississippi To gather berries, and rest. Out of the woods 2 men come running, the townspeople in chase. They beg Huck To hide them, for they have done nothing wrong. Huck didn't believe them but took them on the raft. They claimed royalty so that they would be waited on. The Duke--the lost son of the Duke of Bridgwater The Dauphin--the son of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette Huck and Jim saw right through them.
